Friday's Scoop: Retna and Sam Durant to Talk Street Art for WHAP!
Friday's program will focus on street art and include media artist Sam Durant, contemporary graffiti artist Marquis Lewis (aka Retna) and MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch.

Main Event: Lecture Series on Street Art
WHAP!, a new lecture series co-sponsored by the city and Cal Arts, kicks off this evening with a panel on street art, featuring multimedia artist Sam Durant and contemporary graffiti artist Marquis Lewis (a.k.a. ), who designed a mural for West Hollywood Library. Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first come first serve basis. The event goes from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and takes place in the Council Chambers of the .

Other Happenings: Steve Jobs Day
To celebrate the life and work of Steve Jobs, fans are encouraging everyone to dress like him today. Take a photo of yourself and post it on Facebook. The tributes will be collected on the Steve Jobs Day site.
