Friday's Scoop: Paco the Pink Pounder Comes to Weho

Performer Peter Griggs will play the fictional boxer in his one-man show "Killer Queen" at Equality California's Empowerment Center Boxing Gym.

Main Event: Killer Queen – The Story of Paco the Pink Pounder

The musical coming-of-age story of a fictional gay boxer named Paco the Pink Pounder comes to West Hollywood on Friday at 8 p.m. and runs through the weekend at 8106 Santa Monica Blvd. Peter Griggs helms the one-man show with direction from Wolfgang Lancelot Wachalovsky and choreography from Cason MacBride. Other Happenings:

  •  takes place at the  from 7 -9 p.m. and will include an appearance by New York-based celebrity and fashion photographer Mike Ruiz, along with a DJ and a hosted bar.
  • OUTLAUGH 2011, America’s National Queer Comedy Festival, continues Friday at , and features comedian Sabrina Matthews with stand-up by Tammy Jo Dearen, Paul Jacek and Mary Kennedy.
  • LACMA presents from 6-8 p.m. and will feature vocalist Dwight Trible. The concert is located at the BP Grand Entrance and is free.
