Friday's Scoop: Key Club to Host Artists In Music Awards

Also today: Travis Barker, Tim Armstrong and Rob Aston are performing a 'Locals Only' show at the Roxy.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Friday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Artists In Music Awards

Head to the this evening to hear Donny B. Lord, Katie Cole, Heartstop, Nobody Gets Killed, and more. According to presenter Jessica Hanson, the Artists In Music Awards was created to honor and recognize the best independent music artists from around the world. Many artists produce music deserving of radio play, but few get to shine in the world of mainstream. The red carpet will be rolled out at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $25.

Runner-Up: The Transplants

Catch up with punk rock vets Travis Barker, Tim Armstrong and Rob Aston, better known as Transplants, at the tonight. The Sunset Strip's Brent Mendoza reports the Devils Brigade is rounding out the KROQ “Locals Only” event. Doors open at 8 p.m. Call 310-278-9457 for ticket information.
