Foster the People to Perform at Elton John Oscars Party in Weho

Grammy-nominated pop band to take the stage on Feb. 26 for the invitation-only celebration in West Hollywood Park.

Indie pop band Foster the People is playing a special show in West Hollywood next month, but unless you've received an invitation from Sir Elton himself, don't count on going.

The Grammy-nominated group has been chosen to perform at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 20th annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in the newly redesigned on Feb. 26, reports Hollywood News. Sales of high-priced tickets contribute millions to the foundation fund each year.

The gala outgrew its former location in the courtyard area at the . The West Hollywood City Council in June. The city will waive many fees for the event, which will be held in the park’s old baseball field area, currently a parking lot.

According to Hollywood News, guests will be served a special menu prepared by celebrity chef Cat Cora during the live telecast of the 84th Academy Awards. Foster the People will take the stage to perform after dinner.
