World AIDS Day Commemoration

The City of West Hollywood will host the annual World AIDS Day Commemoration on December 1, 2010 beginning with a Gather/Welcome at 5:30 p.m. at West Hollywood City Hall, 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard.

At 6 p.m. a Candlelight Vigil will move from City Hall along the West Hollywood Memorial Walk to Gallery 825, located at 825 N. La Cienega Boulevard. The World AIDS Day Program will begin at 7 p.m. at Gallery 825 and feature special guest David Marshall Grant, actor and writer/producer of "Brothers & Sisters."

The annual Paul Starke Warrior Award will be presented to outstanding members of the community working in HIV/AIDS services. A post dessert reception will be served.

In addition, a collection for the Jeans for Life campaign will take place. Please bring old jeans to donate to the Jeans for Life campaign sponsored by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Out of the Closet.
