WeHo@25: A 25th Anniversary Celebration in Art

The City of West Hollywood will showcase the history of its vibrant art and culture with an expansive exhibit called "WeHo@25 – a 25th Anniversary Celebration in Art." The exhibit will feature 51 works of art by 45 artists and will be housed at a temporary gallery located at 8270 Santa Monica Boulevard through Monday, December 27, 2010. The exhibit hours are Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. or by appointment.

Howard N. Fox, Curator Emeritus of Contemporary Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, is the exhibit's curator. The exhibit "WeHo@25 - A 25th Anniversary Celebration in Art," celebrates "creativity in the creative city" and features artists from West Hollywood or with a strong connection to the City. The collection is composed of paintings, sculptures, mixed-media projects, photography and video works.

The exhibit is presented by the City of West Hollywood's Arts and Culture Affairs Commission, whose mission is to promote and nurture the arts and cultural life of the City. "WeHo@25" is one of the final events recognizing the City of West Hollywood's 25th Anniversary of Cityhood.
