Making Paradise: The West Hollywood Musical

Event brought to you by Cornerstone Theater Company and the City of West Hollywood as part of the 25th Anniversary of Cityhood celebration. Making Paradise: The West Hollywood Musical takes you to the heart of the "WeHo" movement for Cityhood with scenes set in West Hollywood's past (1983-84) and present (2009-10).

This musical follows what happens when residents in an urban pocket of western L.A. decide to band together in their quest for community, sanctuary and rent control. Four UCLA friends become pioneers of a generation by knocking down doors to unite ex-Soviet immigrants, GLBTQ activists, and senior citizens in establishing West Hollywood as "The Creative City" making it the vibrant cultural, artistic, and political hub it is today.

This quintessential American story is at once heartbreaking, scary, triumphant...and musical. Tickets are $20 and available online. A limited number of Pay-What-You-Can tickets will be available at the door for every performance and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
