The Sunset Strip Music Festival officially opened Thursday night with a ceremony celebrating The Doors. The City of West Hollywood declared Thursday, "The Doors Day."
The surviving members of The Doors -- guitarist Robby Krieger, organist Ray Manzarek and drummer John Densmore -- were honored. City officials were on hand to welcome the group as were members of other bands.
Following the ceremony, the Doors joined by other musicians performed Doors song for an enthusiastic crowd.
