1. Job and Resource Fair

  • Where/When: Woman's Club of Hollywood, 1749 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, May 20
  • Why Go: Assemblyman Mike Feuer, D-West Hollywood, joins the Hollywood and Miracle Mile chambers of commerce and CCD/Wilshire Metro Worksource for a free job and resource fair, featuring a panel discussion about jobs and the economy.
  • Admission: Free

  • Where/When: The Improv Comedy Lab, 8162 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, 10:30–11:30 p.m. Friday, May 20
  • Why Go: Have a laugh with the two-person comedy duo, who will be sharing the stage with sketch group Trememdosaur.
  • Admission: Tickets are $5.

  • Why Go: This is a simple one-mile march to recognize contributions made by our elder citizens and to give awareness to age discrimination they may be experiencing.

5. Russian Cultural Festival

  • Why Go: The day of festivities includes entertainment, music, food and family activities, concluding with a Gala Concert beginning at 5 p.m.
