Wednesday's Scoop: Legendary Bingo to Benefit PFLAG Los Angeles

The all volunteer organization offers support to parents, family members, LGBT persons and their friends.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Wednesday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Legendary Bingo

Wednesday's event at will benefit the Los Angeles chapter of the national PFLAG organization, which provides assistance to over 500 independent chapters across the country, according to their website. A $20 suggested donation includes 10 regular bingo game cards for nine regular games and two grand prize bingo game cards for one grand prize game. Calpernia Addams will be the guest celebrity ballcaller.

Other Happenings:

  • The city's Bicycle Task Force meets at 6:30 p.m. in Rooms 5 and 6 of Plummer Park to receive recommendations for City Council from the Infrastructure, Safety/Education and Programs/Implementation/Funding subcommitees. Read the full agenda here.
  • The Transgender Advisory Board meets in the Community Conference Room at 7 p.m. The agenda includes a discussion of a number of upcoming events, with room for public input.
  •  hosts Kenneth Sonny Donato at 7 p.m. The former Troubadour bartenderwill present and sign copies of A Poet's Guide to the Bars, musings on LA at night. Book is $12.
  • Come 10 p.m., another evening of  hosted by Melissa McQueen comes to .

  • The National Weather Service predicts a sunny Wednesday, with a high near 85 and a low around 62. Calm wind will become south southwest between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
