Wednesday's Scoop: Chaz Bono to Talk About His 'Transition'

The transgender activist will sign copies of his groundbreaking book at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza.

The active LGBT rights advocate and child of Sonny and Cher documents his gender transformation in his tell-all book, Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man. Bono, who currently lives with his girlfriend in Los Angeles, will discuss the candid account of his 40-year struggle at his 7 p.m. L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center book signing at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza (1125 N. McCadden Place).

The free event sponsored by the City of West Hollywood’s Russian Advisory Board features an evening of fine Russian food, live music and accolades. A reception will be held at Crystal Restaurant (7901 Santa Monica Blvd.), followed by a 7 p.m. awards ceremony and 8 p.m. entertainment. For more information, call 323-848-6501.

The rotating dinner and cocktail event that benefits local charities celebrates its two year anniversary at from 6-11 p.m. Weho Supper Club has raised over $55,000 in its first two years for The Trevor Project, APLA, Project Angel Food, American Red Cross Disaster Relief, and Point Foundation. The evening begins at Sushi Dan at 6 p.m. and is followed by a line-up of comics at  at 8 p.m. General admission is $45 and includes cash bar and a two drink minimum. Dita Von Teese at The Roxy

If you missed LA's favorite burlesque artist Tuesday, swing by  Wednesday night for two shows. Dita Von Teese will entertain crowds at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., performing Strip Strip Hooray, featuring special guests Raja from Season 3 of Rupaul’s Drag Race, Lada of The Crazy Horse Paris, Perle Noire, Diamondback Annie and Emcee Murray Hill.
