Tuesday's Scoop: Tree Preservation Society Seeks Input on Green Spaces

Residents will get a chance to share their ideas at a meeting this evening at Laurel Park.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Tuesday in West Hollywood:

Main Event:

More green spaces in Weho — such as trees, parks and gardens — emerged as one of the top priorities for residents at . To give residents the chance to talk more about those green spaces, the West Hollywood Tree Preservation Society is holding a meeting in  at 6:30 p.m. A general discussion will open up the meeting, then participants will break off into smaller groups to talk about specific issues.

Other Happenings:

  • The , a discussion and networking forum for goal-oriented women, will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Plummer Park Community Center. The monthly meetings are geared toward creating solutions for small business owners and women pursuing careers. To RSVP, email tisamely@yahoo.com  For more information, call (323) 848-6460. 
  • The city's Woman and Books Club meets from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Room 3 of . August's selection is Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. Admission is free.
