Transgender Day of Remembrance Is Nov. 20

West Hollywood is hosting an event at the city's public library, which will include the reading of names of transgender individuals who have died due to hatred and violence.

The city is holding a Transgender Day of Remembrance event Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the West Hollywood Public Library.

The event is being hosted by the West Hollywood Transgender Advisory Board and starts at 6:30 p.m. The outdoor reception will feature speakers from the community, city representatives and various transgender performers. The event will conclude with the reading of the names of transgender people who have died due to hatred and violence.
