Tortilla Republic Hosts Cinco de Mayo Party

The outdoor event benefits Project Angel Food.

Tortilla Republic and the city of West Hollywood offer a Cinco do Mayo celebration that will raise money for Project Angel Food.

The first ever Grande Cinco de Mayo Block Party takes place behind the restaurant in the city-owned parking lot on El Tovar Place and will feature food, drinks and music.

Project Angel Food is a non-profit provider of free and nutritious meals to people affected by HIV/AIDS.

The festivities are scheduled Sunday from 2-7 p.m. Highlights include DJs, a Top 40 mariachi band, piñata pit, VIP area and full bars offering margarita pitchers. The cost is $10 for general admission and $20 for the VIP section.
