Thursday's Scoop: James Hotel and Parking Credits Program on Planning Commission Agenda

The James Hotel Group is requesting a two-year extension and the Commission will consider recommending elimination of the citywide in-lieu parking fee.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Thursday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Planning Commission Meeting

The Commission will hear a two-year extension request for the James Hotel Project set for 8950 Sunset Blvd., as well as the proposed Zone Text Amendment or , at its regular meeting in West Hollywood Park Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. New business includes a discussion on existing policies regarding conversion of rental units to condominiums.

Other Happenings:

At 10:20 a.m., millions of Californians will participate in the largest earthquake drill ever. The purpose of the ShakeOut is "to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to get prepared at work, school and home," according to a City of West Hollywood announcement.
