Sunset Strip Music Festival Aims to Please
Linkin Park will headline on Saturday during the sixth annual event.
The 2013 Sunset Strip Music Festival is days away, and with a host of artists on board, it aims to please a variety of musical palates.
Joan Jett will be honored this year at a special event to kick off the festival on Thursday at the House of Blues Sunset Strip, according to festival spokeswoman Alexandra Greenberg.
Other featured venues that will participate in the three-day festival this year are, The Viper Room, The Roxy and Whiskey a Go-Go, Greenberg said.
Linkin Park is scheduled to headline Saturday's street festival which will also feature food trucks and a beer garden. Performers will be on hand for autograph seekers as well.
Other artists who are scheduled to perform include: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Doug E. Fresh, Wale, Logic, Slick Rick and Asher Roth.
During Saturday's festival, which culminates the three-day event, Sunset Boulevard will be closed between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard.
