Sunday's Scoop: Protesters to 'Occupy' Plummer Park

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Sunday in West Hollywood:

Main Event:

A group of West Hollywood residents and organize at the city's only park in the grassy area just north of Fiesta Hall at 1 p.m. They hope to spread the word about the for a $41 million renovation and convince the city council to abandon it. People are being asked to bring food to share with their neighbors for the picnic, as well as guitars and musical instruments.

Robertson Blvd., is holding an from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Michelle Mangione and friends are performing live, and Terry Wolverton will read from her new book Stealing Angel and sign copies for purchase. Rain returns today. The National Weather Service forecasts showers before 11 am., with a high near 62 and a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
