Road Closures Planned in West Hollywood for L.A. Pride Parade

The parade, which kicks off at 11 a.m. Sunday, will close roads until late in the day.

West Hollywood residents should expect snarled traffic in the city this weekend as the 2013 L.A. Pride Parade brings road closures and thousands of participants to the area.

The parade, which kicks off at 11 a.m. Sunday, will close roads until late in the day. Santa Monica Boulevard between North Fairfax Avenue and North Doheny Drive will close to all traffic beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday and won't reopen until around 5 p.m., at the end of the parade, according to lapride.org.

Additional parade street closures (information from lapride.org):

  • North Crescent Heights Boulevard from West Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue (5 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Norton Avenue from North Havenhurst Drive to Laurel Avenue (5 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • La Peer Drive from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard (5 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Almont Drive from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard (5 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Robertson Boulevard from Melrose Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard (5 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
  • Streets one block north and one block south of Santa Monica Boulevard (North Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive) 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue will close from 8 p.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Monday, according to lapride.org.
