Parking Meter Hours to Be Extended in West Hollywood

The new hours will be fully enforced starting Sept. 3.

The city's parking meter hours will be extended starting this summer, with full enforcement of the new hours to begin in September.

Signs will be posted in July, followed by a "warning period" for drivers in August. The new hours will be fully enforced starting Sept. 3.

According to the city, the extended hours will increase the availability of meters in the evening, as well as "improve traffic circulation, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cars hunting for parking, and control prices at private parking lots and garages."

The city plans to use extra money from the extended hours for additional Sheriff’s Department patrols.

Here are the new hours, according to a city news release:

  • Sunset Boulevard, including surrounding streets. From 8-2 a.m. (next day) Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
