UPDATE: Monday's Scoop: Shepard Fairey to Introduce Mural Design

Fairey will present a draft based on feedback from the community for his artwork at the new West Hollywood Library.

Famed street and graphic artist Shepard Fairey did not join public art consultant Merry Norris in presenting a design concept that embodies the iconography of the city for the civic art project. Fairey was scheduled to speak at 1:35 p.m. at , according to the agenda. Subcommittee members said the presentation has been postponed to a later date.

City Council meets on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in. Council will consider approving an ordinance prohibiting the sales of fur apparel products, encouraging the promotion of West Hollywood as a destination for cruelty-free and animal welfare events. New appointments or re-appointments to Commissions and Advisory Boards are also on the agenda

The Groundlings Black Version

The improvisation and sketch comedy theatre at 7307 Melrose Ave. hosts the final showing of the interactive show created by alumnus Jordan Black. The audience suggests the title of a popular film and a cast of all black comedy actors improvise the black version of it. Monday's cast features Wayne Brady. Tickets are $15.
