Monday's Scoop: Moby to Discuss New Photography Book in Weho

The musician will talk about and sign "Destroyed" at Book Soup this evening.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Monday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Moby Book Signing

Once named by Billboard as “The King of Techno,” the electronic musician and photographer is coming to West Hollywood to discuss his new book, Destroyed, named after his 10th studio album. The 60 photographs in his volume capture the "extremes of a life lived on the road," according to the Book Soup website, "from plane to bus to venue to stage to party to hotel room to oblivion." The event starts at 7 p.m. The book costs $39.95.

Other Happenings:

  • If you are heading to the  today (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) in 's north parking lot, stock up on ingredients for Jennifer Brody's . This week, it's the traditional Florentine dish Panzanella, made from tomatoes, stale bread, olive oil and vinegar.
  • There is a Public Safety Commission Meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Conference Room. According to the agenda, the commission will discuss the proposed "Stop Means Stop" campaign, and receive an update from the Bicycle Task Force. Its next meeting will be Oct. 10.
