Meeting Planned to Hear Public Input on Proposed Development

Residents urged to express opinions regarding the Beverly Boulevard project.

A meeting on the subject of a proposed mixed-use development on Beverly Boulevard will take place Wednesday night to allow the public to weigh in on the project.

The development would consist of "the adaptive re-use of an existing 10-story" building, including the basement and penthouse and a "125-foot tall retail and commercial office building at 8899 Beverly Blvd.," said  David DeGrazia, senior planner with the City of West Hollywood.

The proposed development would also include 69 condominiums and 12 apartments that would be built behind the building along Rosewood Avenue.

"The purpose of the meeting is only to receive comments from residents regarding what they would like to see studied in the Environmental Impact Report," DeGrazia said.

No decisions will be made on the project or the merits of it, according to DeGrazia.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the community meeting room of the West Hollywood Library located at 625 North San Vicente Blvd.
