LA Pride is accpeting nominations for "community honorees" to be featured in the 2013 parade and celebration. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Feb. 15.
The LGBT pride festival is set for June 7-9 in West Hollywood.
"The LA Pride Community Honorees program is one of the most inspiring aspects of this iconic celebration," event organizer Owen Ward said in a statement. "We are looking for our heroes and heroines who are doing the work, making impact, stepping up as allies and building our community by coming out of the closet. Honorees get to be in the parade and are celebrated at a number of pre-Pride events."
