West Hollywood can expect a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday, with a high near 59, dropping to around 43, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures for the greater Los Angeles area are expected to be in the 40s and 50s. The LA County Health Officer is issuing a Cold Weather Advisory through Saturday.

Need a laugh? Snatch a seat at  at 8 p.m. for “Love Sucks – A Not So Romantic Comedy of Bad Manners.” , according to Patch theatre critic Nicole Pajer, is a sassy, raunchy, laughable take on the lives of six romantically-challenged New Yorkers who embark on individual heroic journeys to seek out their personal versions of love. Tickets are $40. 

The Art of Sushi Making

 hosts a sushi-making course from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For $85, you can learn about Japanese food preparation and where to buy the ingredients in Los Angeles so you can craft your own rolls or sashimi from the comfort of you very own home.

For a night out away from the kids, swing by the Working Stage Theatre (1516 N Gardner St.) at 11 p.m. Guy J. Jackson puts a twist on traditional storytelling for adults in his play, "In the Ages of the Earth." The show is only one hour and tickets are $10.
