Friday's Scoop: Cold War Kids to Headline the Troubadour

The indie rock band is bringing its soul-punk sound to the Santa Monica Boulevard venue tonight.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Friday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids joins Electric Flower in a sold-out show at the Troubadour. There is likely to be stomping, clapping and some soulful blues. The band debuted an LP, Mine Is Yours, via Downtown Records, in January, and kicked off a North American tour in March. Now they're making their way to West Hollywood. Stub Hub seems to have general admission tickets for around $80.
