West Hollywood to Co-Sponsor Town Hall Forum to Discuss HIV/Aids
The meeting will take place on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.
A Town Hall meeting on the latest research on HIV/AIDS by Ron Diskin of the Weizman Institute of Science in Israel will be hosted by The City of West Hollywood and Congregation Kol Ami, in cooperation with the Israeli Consul General David Siegel, Being Alive, Founders MCC, and the LA Gay and Lesbian Center.
The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at 1200 N. La Brea Ave, West Hollywood, CA.
According to a press release from the City of West Hollywood, Dr. Ron Diskin was born in Jerusalem. He received his BS· in Life Sciences in 2003 and his MSc in .Biochemistry in 2004, both magna cum laude from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; followed by his PhD in Biochemistry there in 2008. He served as a postdoctoral research fellow at California Institute of Technology's Department of Biology.

At the up-coming Town Hall meeting, Dr. Diskin will discuss his most recent research into the structure of HIV and other viruses in order to find ways to effectively combat them.
