Local architectural firms are invited to apply to help design park amenities as part of Phase Two of the West Hollywood Park Master Plan.
A new, 70,000-square-foot recreation center with two swimming pools, lockers, offices, a gymnasium and two swimming pools on the rooftop are part of the plan.
Another aspect of the project would be a new Parks and Recreation Building that will be about 12,000 square feet and include office space as well as a 6,000-square-foot "Bridge Building" that will connect the Recreation Center with the Parks and Recreation Building, according to Jeffrey Huffer, manager of strategic initiatives in the West Hollywood city manager's office.
Landscaping green space in the park area would also be included. The West Hollywood Library was completed two years ago as part of Phase One.
In order to apply, all proposals must be submitted no later than at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August
28, to the City of West Hollywood City Clerk’s Office located at 8300 Santa
