Unique Christmas Decoration Ideas

For the past years, I usually just place a Christmas tree with some ornaments and a few festive things here and there and call that Christmas decoration.  However, to really get into the holiday spirits this season, I've decided to step things up and try some fresh ideas for Christmas decoration.

First thought I had was, why not take the decoration outside the house as well?  I drove pass a mailbox that was decorated this past weekend, so I copied the idea by placing some winter plants, pine cones, and other festive looks to make everyone driving by my house feel more of the wonderful Christmas spirit.

Halloween has its jack-o-lanterns, why not put out some Christmas lanterns?  Light a few candles in Christmas colors and you will surely be able to make the house look Christmas.

Finally, you don't always have to purchase all your decorations.  Find things around your house that you and your loved ones can be creative with.  Make your own stockings, customize gift tags, design your own ornaments, and other ideas can really turn this Christmas into your own!
