The Friends of the West Hollywood Library Sponsors Free Bookmaking Workshop
The Art of Storymaking for the 21st Century, a free workshop at the West Hollywood Library, will be led by artist and art educator Debra Disman, owner of Artifactory Studio in Santa Monica (www.artifactorystudio.com)
The event will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, in the Library’s Community Room.
Disman will teach hands-on techniques in visual arts, craft and creative writing. Using these skills, participants will design their own personal one-of-a-kind books. A discussion about the function, purpose and meaning of the book as object will also be included in the adults-only event.
