Comedy Playground at the Improv Comedy Lab in Hollywood, 8162 Melrose Ave., is now enrolling students for classes that begin Jan. 20 and run through March 10.
Teens and pre-teens from all different areas of Los Angeles come to share in the three-hour class for eight weeks, which ends with a live show at the world famous Hollywood Improv.
Anyone age 10-19 can participate. It's not about teaching how to be funny (you know how to do that already), it's about sharing who you are through the platform of stand-up and improvisational comedy.
Since 2002, Comedy Playground has been a "home away from home" for students in this unique comedy program. Together, they learn how to share what is going on in their own worlds, and do so in a relatable manner through the technique and curriculum of Comedy Playground.
