UPDATE: Driver Killed in 405 Crash Was BulletBoys Drummer Johnny Giosa
The 42-year-old West Hollywood resident died at the scene after his car struck a concrete pillar on the northbound freeway near Howard Hughes Parkway on Sunday.
The 42-year-old motorist killed in a collision on the San Diego (405) Freeway on Sunday has been identified as onetime BulletBoys drummer and West Hollywood resident Johnny Giosa.
BulletBoys band members posted a personal message on their Facebook page along with the photo of a shirtless Giosa standing tall behind a set of drums.
"Words cannot express how devastated I am to hear about my friend's passing, Mr. Johnny G. My sincerest condolences to his family and the ones he loved. We’re all going to miss you brother!"

That announcement has seen scores of comments from fans since news broke of Giosa's death.
"Johnny was such a great friend. He was down to earth, caring, kind, an awesome drummer, excellent hairstylist, and a wonderful person to know," said Laura Jean. "I will miss him so much!"

Giosa's car crashed into a concrete freeway pillar along the northbound freeway near the Culver City/Inglewood border around 4 a.m., CHP Officer Ed Jacobs said.
What caused Giosa's black 1998 Volkswagen Beetle to leave the freeway and strike the pillar has not been determined.
"We have no reason as to why the vehicle left the roadway," said a West LA CHP officer. "It is still under investigation."
Giosa died at the scene, and there was no one else in the car, the CHP said in a report.
