Wednesday's Scoop: Health Fair Offers Screenings, Lessons

A free public health and fitness fair that targets senior citizens will be held in Plummer Park.

The 10th annual event, sponsored by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the City of West Hollywood, Jewish Family Service and the Saban Free Clinic, will include Tai Chi and yoga presentations, health screenings, information provided by more than 50 community organizations, and a complimentary lunch. Stop by from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.

The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood and the Gay Straight Alliance Network present a , moderated by KCAL/CBS2 News Anchor Pat Harvey, at 11:30 a.m. at the NCJWLA Council House at 543 N. Fairfax Ave. Guest speakers include representatives from LAUSD, the Gay Straight Alliance Network, The Trevor Project, and Fairfax High School.
