Thursday's Scoop: West Hollywood Library Preview

1 p.m. : Sam Baxter, director of the city’s Human Services Department, will lead a presentation on the new library, which is scheduled to open this fall, at the Community Center at Plummer Park. Jeffrey Huffer, Economic Development Manager for the city, will also give information on the park’s renovations. The event is free and sponsored by the City of West Hollywood’s Senior Activity Department and the Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles.

SUPERFRONT LA Exhibit

5:30-8:30 p.m. : SUPERFRONT LA, a Brooklyn-based gallery and project space that delves into creative architecture, is holding an opening reception for “TIMEless” at the Pacific Design Center. The exhibit explores designers in architecture and film and the “4D of space.” It is on display through Aug. 31.

LA Gay & Lesbian Center's Young Professionals' Council Mixer 

6 p.m. : The YPC engages residents under 40 to support the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and to build a strong community of passionate leaders dedicated to community service. The mixer tonight strives to make connections between young professionals in the community.

5 p.m. : The Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission will meet at the Community Conference Room.
