Patch Picks: Where to Watch the Oscars in West Hollywood

A number of local restaurants and bars are hosting viewing parties Sunday.

Instead of stalking the stars outside the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood's biggest night, why not creep on them instead with stomach full and drink in hand?

Whether you want to stuff your face with food prepared by SBE Executive Chef Danny Elmaleh at The Abbey or drink more than one "red carpet martini" at The London hotel, there is plenty of celebrating to do in West Hollywood this Oscar Sunday.

Guests will be given ballots to choose winners, and for each winner correctly selected, Luca and the Mann’s Chinese Theatre will award the guest with two tickets to the theatre. AIDS Project Los Angeles is celebrating its 11th annual Oscar viewing party at . Hosted by Founder David Cooley with NCIS star Pauley Perette, guests who purchase tickets will enjoy Grey Goose and Beau Joie cocktails and champagne followed by a seated dinner specially prepared by SBE’s Executive Chef Danny Elmaleh at 4 p.m. After the telecast, KIIS FM will present a DJ set by Connor Cruise. isn't opening its invite-only Vanity Fair soiree to the public, but us little people can still get into the Oscar spirit by sipping red carpet martinis at the hotel bar or on the rooftop, if you can snag a reservation. The London's signature cocktail is made with pomegranate liquor, vodka and Grand Marnier shaken with fresh lime juice and served with a splash of Cava.

Popular martini bar is hosting its own celebration in the form of a Sunday Brunch, after which the neighborhood bar will be airing the 2012 Oscars, starting with the red carpet and all the way through to the "Best Picture" presentation.
