Save the D8 for 'NO H8 Day' in West Hollywood

The NOH8 Campaign will celebrate its third anniversary Dec. 13 at the House of Blues, complete with an open bar, DJ and a gallery show.

Portraits of everyday Californians, celebrities, military personnel and more in support of marriage equality will fill the in West Hollywood on "No H8 Day" (Dec. 13) to mark the 3-year anniversary of the NOH8 Campaign.

The photo project and silent protest was launched in 2011 by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley, following the passage of Proposition 8 in California, which amended the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. To date, NOH8 has compiled over 18,000 portraits.

The campaign's "Save the D8" states: "This is our time to get together and rally support as we head into an election year. We all must remember, marriage equality is not just a California issue, it's a world wide issue. Let's support the states that need our help in 2012!"
