Cycle House Wins Best Spin Class Poll

Patch readers choose the 6-month-old La Cienega Boulevard studio for indoor cycling in West Hollywood.

The , and has been named the place to take an indoor cycling class in West Hollywood.

Over 3,000 readers voted in this week's Readers' Poll, leaving 60 comments.

Jesse Stevens wrote: "Cycle House is far and away the best studio in WeHo," noting the studio's "talented instructors," free shoes, fruit, parking and eucalyptus towels. "It's not even a question who the best in town is," Stevens said.

Claire listed six reasons to vote for Cycle House—the sixth reason being charity. Every ride at Cycle House translates to two meals donated to someone in need. "It's great when a business works hard to do more for the community and isn't only concerned about profits," Claire said.

It was a very close race. While Up Dog Yoga + Cycling earned a whopping 42 percent, Cycle House managed to inch forward and gain 45 percent in the final hours on Friday.

Cycle House is the dream and creation of Lara Gillman, who combined her passion of spinning and helping others to start the two-for-one program. The La Cienega Boulevard location officially opened Oct. 4.

Nichelle Hines, an instructor at Cycle House, told Patch in November, "It's not just about you, it's about the greater good. I think that really helps inspire the riders to keep coming and work harder."
