Comme Ca Serves Up French Fare on a Budget

The bistro's Happy Hour menu offers poutine and pommes frites for under $10, Monday through Sunday, 5-7 p.m.

Chef David Myers has amassed many culinary accolades for his haute cuisine (formerly served at shuttered eatery Sona), but it is his down-home French bistro on Melrose Avenue that is filling up tables these days.

Stop into , which roughly translates to "like this, like that," for Happy Hour Monday through Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and order off the "Hourglass" menu, where all items are priced under $10.

Favorite offerings include the "Poutine" ($8), a decadent dish of pommes frites, Vermont white cheddar curds, sausage gravy, and a sunny side egg, and the "Pork Sliders" (also $8), which are served with pickled shallots and arugula. Or try the "Peruvian Bay Scallop Ceviche" ($9), which comes with caramelized peaches and fennel.

Even better, Comme Ca's Hourglass cocktails—all made with fresh-pressed juices and syrups and speciality liquors—are priced at only $6. Favorites include the "Vodka Daisy" and "Rye Smash," made with rye, lemon wedges, honey, and mint. Craving wine instead? Their fabulous selection of mostly French whites and reds start at only $4/glass and range up to $9/glass.

Without a doubt, Comme Ca's Hourglass menu is one of the best dining deals in Weho.
