City Expects 400,000 at West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval

Three large stages will feature different entertainment throughout the night.

City officials said Monday that they expect the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval, set for Wednesday, to .

In 2011, for the famous Halloween celebration.

City Special Events Manager Cleo Smith said Weho will spend $855,384 on the Carnaval event, which includes staffing and waived fees.

The city also recently released the entertainment lineup for the Carnaval, where three large stages will feature different entertainment throughout the night.

The Drag Hotel of Horrors stage will be located at Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards. Featuring a rock-and-roll drag show, the stage is being emceed by Jeffrey Damnit and performers will include Donovan Leitch Jr., who stars in the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Leitch will serve as Honorary Mayor of the Carnaval.

The Dungeon of Sin stage will be located at Santa Monica Boulevard and Almont Drive, with performances by The Sideshow Sirens, Barbie’s Addiction, and Vaud and the Villains. 

The Thrills and Chills stage will be located at Santa Monica and La Cienega boulevards, and performances include Zen Freeman, The Orchestre Surreal and Miss Barbie-Q.

The city will also provide a CityLine service on Halloween during the usual hours of 5:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  

The Halloween Carnaval will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 11 p.m.
